Sonia Hirsch is a well known Brazilian parasite doctor from Rio de Janeiro and expert on the worms that afflict our population. She wrote a successful book called “The Almanac of Grubs that get into People” and has some very interesting things to say. Though most worms are harmless, they can, however, damage our principle organs like our liver, kidneys, lungs, pancreas, brain and intestines. One particular woman became paralyzed after doctors discovered that worms had damaged her spinal column. Another woman who thought she had breast cancer was operated on and the doctors discovered an enormous worm inside the organ. Worms are known to cause allergies, certain types of cancer, intestinal disorders and diabetes. 30% of city dwellers have worms. In most of us, there are more bacteria present in our body than human cells. People get worms at the beach (mycoses), through pets like dogs and cats, and from eating spoiled or expired food products. With people having more pets in their homes than children, it is not surprising that they would catch worms into their physical systems. This is especially true of people who kiss their cats and dogs and sleep with them at night.
The worms like to hang out around the liver and pancreas because they catch and absorb the digestives substances produced by them. They also prevent the intestines from absorbing necessary nutrients that the body is in need of. People who have worms end up with diarrhea, vitamin B12 and vitamin A deficiency. They also cause aches and pains in the muscle areas of our body or just above the heart. In a research done in the schools of Rio de Janeiro, it was found that 74% of children with psychiatric problems had intestinal parasites. These children were agitated and aggressive. They had low grades, muscular and height developmental problems, anemic conditions and visual disturbances. They talked in their sleep and wet their beds at night.
Worms cause an intense desire for various types of food, a hunger sensation that is difficult to satisfy causing their victims to eat above a normal quantity. Soon after, this type of appetite suddenly falls. Worms cause burps, intestinal gases, indigestion and a burning type sensation in the stomach. People with worms feel a sense of nausea a few hours after eating, with a colic type pain just below the stomach. In the toilet, the feces are small in quantity and flakey type. Diarrheas alternated with constipation are other symptoms. The ascaris and giardia worms modify the lactase enzyme that helps one to digest lactose, the sugar that comes from milk. People who complain that they cannot drink or eat milk products claiming that their bodies do not accept these things might really have a worm problem instead. The giardia worm also prevents one from digesting the fats in the body. Other worms travel to the bilary duct and live off its lining. As the worm gets obese, so does the human being, seeing that the duct is closed off and cannot transport the bile necessary to digest the fats. It is useless for obese people to get involved in a million types of diets and do all sorts of physical exercises in order to lose weight if they don’t first get rid of the wormy culprit in the ducts. He is the one preventing the important bile to reach the fats in the intestine and burn them off.
The worms in the pancreas area prevent the organ from doing its work to take care of our glucose in the blood. Diabetes, in part, is due to this damaging action of the parasites. Michael Briamonte, a nutritionist doctor from New York City, cured many diabetics after cleaning their insides of all the worms living there.
