Humorous Letter to the GOP

 Dear Friends,
The following is a letter that I wrote to the Republican Party eight years ago. I never got a response from them, but considered the text to be a blend of humor, irony and tragedy. I think you will enjoy reading this:
Dear Mr. Gillespie,

I want to thank you for the invitation to hold a GOP party at my home. I have many friends who are Republicans and agree with President Bush's stance in favor of family values and opposition to the horrors of baby-killing through abortion. It was a close election and the pro "culture of death" forces almost won. So a victory celebration would be very relevant.

I could host about 30-50 people of Republican conviction (who had helped spread the message) for an evening's celebration of the President's triumphal re-election. We would need, however, to buy meat for barbeque, bread, wine, beer, soda, vegetables for salad, etc. and decorations. Banners, posters and signs of the party would be indispensable. Some dessert and a cake with the President's photo on it would be nice toward the end. I could plan the festival for the week-end after New Year's Day. I think that a sum somewhere between 500 to a thousand dollars could easily cover the costs of the festival. If the party members could provide the money for our event, then it will be possible to celebrate. You could e-mail the answer at…

I would like to take the opportunity now to ask three things of you (if they are in your power to resolve). I live in Fort Myers, Florida and there is a Spanish language newspaper here in circulation called "Neuvos Ecos", run by illegal Argentinean immigrants. I don't mind Hispanics having their own means of communication in this country, but the problem is that they advertise Planned Parenthood in it. I called them to attention over this fact, but they simply disregarded my protest and hung up the phone in my face. Now I think it to be the height of insult, that an illegal foreign group has the gall, to humiliate an American citizen, with this mockery and arrogance on our soil, and promote the hideous practice of baby-killing, with our national paper and ink. Why don't they go and practice this crap in their own nation? Isn't it bad enough that we have our own countrymen in favor of abortion, that now we have to put with illegal Argentineans to get on the band-wagon too? I think the party should investigate the situation and take immediate and swift action in the matter.

The second thing I would like to discuss concerns a web-site that some friends and I began called "Fifth Love, Inc." This web-site brings to people's attention the beauty and depth of a new love and science called "Affirmation Psychology” that has cured and restored thousands of unaffirmed people from their emotional sufferings. They have found, once again, the joy of living and feeling. We lack funds to keep it going, so any contribution on your part would be welcome.
