Open Letter to the North American Bishops

I would like to suggest to you, our pastors, that Catholic laymen from now on be prohibited from entering, running for or taking on a political office at any level of government without first being screened by an Episcopal commission that will evaluate their moral position and convictions on such questions as procured abortions, artificial birth control, embryonic stem cell research, homoeroticism, assisted suicide and other vital issues that degrade human dignity. If they swear and promise to uphold and defend human life and dignity at all its stages, then they will be allowed to participate in the political life of the nation. If not, it will publically be made known and revealed that these specific candidates are no longer members of the Catholic Church. I believe that such a course of action will put some order into the great confusion caused by scandalous Catholics in administrative political offices in our nation.
